Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Associate Vice President for Development and Alumni Relations, the Executive Director of Research & Prospect Management will provide leadership, direction and management for the offices of Research and Prospect Management. The Executive Director serves as a key member of the senior leadership team and an active participant in making strategic decisions related to research and prospect management initiatives. The Executive Director will also be responsible for developing specific metrics and performance plans that hold both units accountable for overall production.

Duties/Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Research and Prospect Management teams to drive increased pipeline development related to major gift fundraising
*Develop short and long range strategic plans
*Develop regular means for assessing plans and goals for each area of responsibility
*Establish, delegate, communicate, monitor, and reinforce staff assignments, accountabilities, performance expectations, and goals
*Supervise unit leaders through a structured process to establish and manage unit goals and budgets

Ensure the integration of research and prospect management to develop a comprehensive and proactive prospect discovery and management system
*Both units must work collaboratively with all major gift fundraisers
