Position Summary

The Director of Alumni Relations in the Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources. “Warnell” is responsible for promoting active engagement through engagement and fundraising strategies in effort to increase alumni participation. The Director of Alumni Relations Director is responsible for planning and implementing Warnell Annual Fund solicitation efforts. This position manages Warnell’s two Alumni Committees and serves as a liason between the Dean and Director of Development and these Boards. This position also serves as the Alumni Representative across campus and within Warnell.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to take initiative and work independently; strong organizational skills; ability to travel on occasion. Word processing, GAIL database experience a plus; Excel and e-mail skills required.

Duties/Responsibilities

Duties/Responsibilities

Plan and oversee programs to keep alumni and donors engaged with Warnell. Events include Homecoming Weekend, Regional Events, Warnell Weekend, Class Reunions, and other efforts that promote alumni engagement. Coordinate with Warnell Communications Coordinator on alumni specific communications to promote constituent engagement. Programming and communication is used as a cultivation tool to engage our constituents in participating with Warnell.

Duties/Responsibilities

Work with Director of Development in planning and implementing Warnell Annual Giving solicitation efforts. This includes annual plans for solicitation strategies such as coordinating volunteer campaigns, direct mail solicitations, stewardship, and working with UGA Office of Annual Giving and Constituent Development and Phone-a-thon. This effort helps increase annual giving dollars and participation, specifically among Warnell alumni, students, and faculty/staff.

Duties/Responsibilities

This position is responsible for managing, planning, and organizing all alumni committee activities. This position serves as liaison between the Warnell School (specifically Dean and Director of Development) and Alumni Steering Committee and Young Alumni Committee. This includes setting regular scheduled meetings and arranging conference calls as needed. Maintains contact information for members and works with board to keep communication between members and the School.

Duties/Responsibilities

Warnell Alumni representative. This includes handling inquiries regarding alumni affairs and/or annual giving. Maintaining relative information on the Warnell Alumni website. Ensure contact information for constituents is updated in GAIL database. Serve as alumni and annual giving representative across campus and within Warnell. Various groups include: DAR Alumni Directors’ meetings, UGA Annual Giving Directors’ meetings, Warnell Student Ambassadors.
