Minimum Qualifications

A Georgia Class B Commercial Drivers License is required. A high school diploma or equivalent is required. At least two years as a bus operator is required with at least one in a training position.

Position Summary

This position supervises bus operators and student dispatchers in the operation of University buses and vans in fixed-route services, demand response services, and charter services. This employee will work a 3rd shift schedule (Tuesday-Saturday). The employee ensures compliance with all departmental policies and applicable laws. The employee is also responsible for the maintenance of records of equipment and operator utilization. Work is performed under general direction of an administrative superior and is reviewed through discussion and inspection of operations. The Bus Operations Supervisor is in charge of the day-to-day department activities in the absence of the Operations Manager.

Must have good communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Three years of related experience in transportation management preferred.

Physical Demands

Ability to sit for extended periods. Variable amounts of pushing, pulling, lifting, and reaching.

Supervise routes to ensure University and Campus Transit policies are followed and proper service is provided. Take needed actions to correct situations.
