Minimum Qualifications

Completion of the eighth school grade and experience in the operation of bus or truck; or any equivalent combination of training and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Position Summary

This is a benefits eligible, partial year position (9 months of the year) August 1st to April 30th of each year. Each selected candidate will be required to sign a partial year agreement. Employees returning to work from designated partial-year leave periods are continued in the same position with no break in service and no change in the original hire date.

Safe operation of buses on campus routes and occasional charters. Complete paperwork associated with assignments. Follow written and verbal instructions as required by supervisory personnel. Occasional bus washing and other non-driving tasks are required from time to time. Applicants must submit to drug and alcohol testing as required by the US Department of Transportation.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Ability to demonstrate a safe driving record, good communication skills and an ability to work with people of various backgrounds and skill levels.
